Back from KATSUCON, the "All-Star Weekend" of the Cosplay World!! Felt good to get back into "Cosplay Shape" so to speak. This was straight-up PHOTOSHOOT CON, with no less than FIVE successful photoshoots, four of which were planned. The weather wasn't quite as "cooperative" as last year, but still made the most of it. To me, the con didn't seem nearly as crowded as last year, and there were quite a few notable absences on the cosplayer front. But I was VERY GLAD to see everyone that I was able to see and meet plenty of new people as well! The Thursday night badge pickup line was bearable this year, which surprised me! Got my obligatory Gazebo photos and met up with some friends for pizza and hijinks. Crashed the Tokusatsu/Power Ranger and Miraculous gatherings on Friday, followed by the Star Wars gathering in the evening that exceeded ALL expectations! Finn/Rey photos and Finn/Rose photos FTW. And FINALLY some Kylos/First Order cosplayers called me "TRAITOR!!!" XD Glorious. On Saturday I FINALLY got to wear my FULL Menma cosplay, walking around with no one knowing it was ME under the mask!!! XD Absolutely loved it! In the evening was the Marvel & DC gathering which was basically controlled chaos as BOTH SIDES were taking photos AT THE SAME TIME (that's a first for me.) Plus Gambit proposed to Rogue at the end, so...yay. Additional Saturday night hijinks ensued involving BB-8, a loot crate full of snacks and candies from Japan, and long random discussions that ended hours later than intended. Sunday things were a bit more laid back...except at the Gazebo area. Had photoshoots both in and outdoors and ended the con...watching from my balcony as people were still taking photos at the Gazebo LATE Sunday night and EARLY MONDAY MORNING!!! XD HARDCORE!!!

THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES ARE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!!
Congratulations to the PHILADELPHIA EAGLES for winning the Super Bowl earlier this month and becoming NFL Champions for the first time in franchise history! They're my Dad's team, and I just realized that they finally won The Big One the year after he passed. The appropriate team stamp has been added to the collection, and expect to see a little more "green" and a few more "eagles" in random places on my gallery in the future.
WELCOME TO ALL MY NEW WATCHERS! Cosplay is my extravagent hobby. Love cosplaying and love taking cosplay photos. I'm always looking for the perfect shot. It's the way I appreciate and remember everything that I've liked over the years. I have over 80 cosplays now and even more ideas on the way. I'm a highly creative individual. I can be inspired by almost anything at anytime. I travel to pretty much any convention or gathering I feel like going to in the U. S. You never know when or where I'll show up next.
WHAT EXACTLY IS "R-LEGEND?"
People have realized that I'm about more than just cosplay and ask "Why is Ryoga fighting all these random people?" So here's a little bit of info about some of the artworks I commission for the "R-LEGEND" section of my gallery:
R-LEGEND is the story of J. Ryoga, a young man who founds a martial arts/military/superhero organization destined to wage war against the forces of evil in the universe. Through the course of his life, he encounters many friends, battles countless enemies, and even raises a family to carry on once his part in the story ends. After much consideration and debate, "RWO" itself is an acronym for an ancient alien phrase loosely meaning "Army of Light." Originally, Ranma 1/2 characters were the main focus of the story, but over time it grew into what can only be described as the "ultimate crossover action fanfic." So in addition to cosplay photos and random character art, I also upload images and artwork from the "R-Legend" story in the "R-Legend" folder of my gallery. Some characters you may recognize, and others you may need to Google to learn more about.
R-LEGEND was originally an online club I started back in college. First, we were an America Online chatroom roleplay group called "RWO," then we grew to become an online club devoted to creating a massive crossover fanfiction story based on various video games, anime, cartoons, comics, sci-fi series, fantasy series, spontaneous events that took place in AOL chatrooms, and the creative ideas that my friends have pitched to me over the years. The group's name changed from "RWO" to "R-Legend" because in essence, the story is "our legend."
What is all this leading to? Unfortunately, I'm not at liberty to go into details right now but stay tuned. Things are becoming clearer over time.

A quick reminder that in most cases I WILL ONLY ACCEPT INVITATIONS TO GROUPS WITH 100 MEMBERS OR MORE. There are very rare exceptions, but for the most part I want to expose my gallery to the widest audience possible, and can't do that by joining groups that are tiny, fly-by-night, or here-today-gone-tomorrow. Gotta prove that you're for real, and that you're in it for the long haul.
My Blogspot has reached 10,000 page views!!! Thank you very much!!!
As always, it will be updated completely at random with artwork that I commission from other great artists. Including uncensored works that are "too hot" for the haters. Note me if you don't know the link.
That's all for now. More news as it develops.
I'm J. Ryoga, and you've just been Fed.
